 Beaded Knifesheath w/knife-Knifesheath beaded with Pony Soldier design. Plains warriors respected patriotism in others as well in their own culture, and recognized the respect the cavalry had towards the US flag. As a sign of respect, they did beadwork with the Pony Soldier design on knifesheaths, as well as other items. Knifesheath is made from elkskin and beadwork is traditional lazy stitch method. Knife handle is stag horn with eagle head carved on end. Sheath approx. 13" long, including fringe. Knife is approx. 10" long, including handle. Signed original
